This is about 20 minutes from home and if you blow this pic up real big you can see a desert wolf. Let me know if you find it, he really blends in, hint he is about in the middle...double click on the pic to make very big
Rock formations.....wonder who lives in the little caves? This is in Death Valley and it is called THE DEVILS GOLF COURSE
Just pretty in the park. We saw a chuckwalla....a very big lizard

A visit at Jodie's. Mia is just too cute and what a happy child. We took the kids to Cattleman's for Amee's birthday!
Mia loved the cowboy hat, and when the waiter was clearing all the plates away Mia handed him her plate........too cute!

We were out driving around and we found the whore houses! There are two of them and for mid-morning they were pretty busy! And the sign says ladies welcome! This is called the Chicken House
I went chasing after the road runner.............................
And he posed for me! This guy is a young guy. Not too big yet.

We came across a ghost town on the way home. Actually, an old mining town dating back to 1905. This house is called the bottle house. Yes, those are really bottles in the adobe.
This was the main store and it is up for sale. The town church. Notice the hitching posts to tie up the old horse. It amazes me that no one has disturbed the rock landscaping.
This was amazing! Angels out in front of the church! Out in the middle of nowhere!
This was also by the church. I get the miner, but a penguin??????????

We didn't realize how close to Death Valley we are. About 45 minutes to the valley. We are going to have a great time exploring this amazing park. Just a view
Looking back at the valley. Can't wait til we have the time to really explore!
Oh by the way, You know the storm we had...we are still driving through muddy water.

Our first week in Pahrump and we got one hell of a storm! It started at daybreak and went on all day and all night. Sometimes the lightning was too close and the thunder too loud. We had to venture out about 4 pm for ice to have a cocktail and this is what we saw......This is the main street in town. Notice how dark? Pahrump usually gets only 4 inches of rain a year. We got half already! It was cool sitting out under the awning and listening to the storm. This is across the street from us. It made a big mess! Remember this is 4 in the afternoon and it went on all night!
Next day...we went exploring and found a lot of flooding.
Very muddy water about 2 feet deep and running fast over the road. Look at the right of the pic.. white water... let's go rafting.

On our way home. We cut our day out a little short because another storm seemed to be brewing and we didn't want to get caught on the wrong side of the creek, which they call washes cuz the only time the creek has water is when it rains. Which is seldom???????????????

Clarence's Birthday at Lake Oroville with My Mom, Uncle Jack, Auntie Carol and Jeri and Dwight! We came across this sign out in the middle of nowhere... OUT R WAY
This is June Lake, Ca.
Mono Lake..........While we were in the museum we had a little earthquake.
Mono Lake has 2 1/2 times the salt of the ocean.

This is Patterson Bridge in Gold Beach, Oregon. Everyone out there is trying to catch a big salmon, including me and Clarence. And thanks to Jim..................... Meet Jim. We met him in the RV park and he has a boat but can't go out on the bay by himself because of health problems. So he invites us! Jim is a great person and we have a new friend. He really is inspiring. With all his difficulties he just doesn't let it get him down. He was told he would be in a wheelchair by 25 and he is 72 and still walking, just a little wobbly. A lot of credit goes to Jim's wife! But she gets sea sick!
My ears got cold and I brought my fish in and lost him! Darn it!
Jim's boat. Sure was a treat. There had to be at least 200 boats out there in the bay!

Can you pick us out of the crowd? Don't we look cute in our life jackets. The boat has 3 motors and 1000 horse power. And does some really fun 360's. Yes, you do get a little wet. Up in the mist is another jet boat coming down, you can hardly see the boat and it is forty feet long! We are watching from our boat.
This is the dinosaur tree!

This is Sadie. She has over 500 boat trips on her butt! And a very nice dog.She loves the river otters. They play with her. Going down the rapids! We left at 8 in the morning and after 104 miles on the Rogue, we got back at 4. Long day , but way too much fun.
This is just interesting. See all these trees roots on the outside of the rock!

Cape Blanco lighthouse and I made Clarence go up there and it was cool, but very windy. Just before the lighthouse we parked and we saw 3 whales. Too far away to get a good pic. Just nice and peaceful

Port of Port Orford..... They roll the fishing boats over to those yellow cranes and lower them into the water. Never saw that before. This is too funny since our rig is named Paradise Point. Our saying is "Just another day in paradise point!"

This is Jerry's Jet Boats. We are going to take the 104 mile trip on Monday. Can't wait!!!! Oh and by the way, these kids would jump off the rock to the applause of the boat. An island in low tide at the mouth of the Rouge River where the pelicans hang out. I am going to try to get closer because their are a lot of pelican babies out there, but I have to get permission from the Coast Guard first. Wish me luck!
It was just a pretty spot. We also saw a dog surfing. He would swim out and then jump into the wave, turn inland and ride the wave back in! I saw him do this just once and Clarence saw him twice. I didn't get a pic. I guess he was tired, wish we would of got there a little sooner.
